These rankings cover the 58 billers currently in our dataset. That is every biller page on the site. A biller appears in a chart only where it publishes the figure that chart ranks; unpublished figures are left out rather than charted as zero.
Late fees
Billers whose own terms state a late fee amount, highest first. Billers that publish no amount are left out.
Source: each biller's published terms. Where a fee is "up to" an amount, the chart shows that maximum. Each biller's page gives the exact wording and the date we checked it.
Grace periods before a late fee
How many days after the due date before a late fee is charged.
Source: official biller terms. "0 days" means the terms charge the fee on the day after the due date, with no grace period.

Days after the due date before service is suspended or restricted.
Only billers that publish a day count appear here. Most phone, cable and streaming terms reserve the right to suspend without giving one. Regulated utilities follow state notice rules instead, listed on the suspension timelines page.
